Thanks to all you fantastic designers:) You have send many great design proposals and I have enjoyed last 5 weeks.
Almost a pity that it had to end. Tomorrow I will choose the logo with strongest branding effect for the restaurant and honestly there are at least 5-6 logos that would satisfy our need.
Good night:)

Hi everybody.
Last few days left to improve us!! We have plenty good designs to choose from. A whole new idea or perhaps design with some 3D or shade/shadow could be an idea. Just to see something differetn. Good luck all and very good weekend:))

Good morning all:)
Axlxexxx: About name "Kitchen nordic". Reason for choice is because name "Nordic kitchen" already exist for website and we don't want problems. Nordic is referring to north = scandinavia = Denmark.
We are going into last week and no decision has been made. Still great design are coming.
About color, we are still open for all suggestions, however we think that warm colors will be best. Examples of good color combinations can be seen in #28, 91, 104, 120 and 152. We are told that you should try to avoid blue color for a restaurant (see about color symbolic and which effects it has on people on internet). However blue colors like#156 are not bad.

Design with more light and feminim expression are also welcome:)
Dear designers.
Thanks for more spectacular designs that you are sending in. Viking theme are popular and we agree that it could be the solution. However if any have some ideas where text (with nice font) are in foucus and without to dominationg symbols or without symbols, you are welcome to show. If you watch my ref. to another danish restaurant Noma (just awarded best restaurant in the world!) you will see they have a simple text with nice font for letters, no symbols.
Symbols that indicates that our food are tasty could be an idea. One example is #86.
Please also think of good color combinations. We like dusty/douche colors. The interior in the restaurant will be very light (typically scandinavian). Probably variations of creme, white, beige. Not too cold colors. Elements in the restaurant will match the logo colours and wshould of course have to be contrast.....but still matching the light interior. Does it give meaning?
Another insiration could be that all food are "homecooked" and made from basic. Well, almost all. If any can catch the feeling of grandmothers traditional homecook with a nice touch of modern nordic kitchen, it would be great.
Please don't hesitate to ask questions directly too me, if you need guidance and feed back.
I wish all good work and creative minds.

Hello designers.
You make our decision very difficult so many good designs. We see great symbols, viking helmets and boats, danish national bird swan and maritime symbols (fish and anchor).
Perhaps a few helpful informations. We will serve fish, but it will probably be only 20-30% of menu. Other ingredients will be pork, beef, all kinds of vegetables/roots. Traditional danish "smørrebrød" (bread with butter/open sandwich) is a slice of rye bread with butter at the bottom. Then you put - layer by layer - main ingredient (could be fish, pork, beef or even potato), dressing and decorations on top. Decorations are important. One "open sandwich" can fill a whole plate.
We want this danish open sandwich to be an ambassadour for Denmark.
Our concept is perhaps difficult. We are more gourmet restaurant than fast food, but still not a real gourmet restaurant. However you will sit at nice tables, we will have waiters and at the same time we will have Take Away )Open sandwich you can eat at home and few deserts you can buy in cup and eat during walking around the city.
Again, some of your designs represent this balance, but since we see your high standard, we just try to push your creativity a little more;-)
Have a nice day all of you.

#8: Not sure my idea with red was good. Perhaps more slim lines for cross and more elegant font?
#5: I prefer less contrast. Perhaps a dusty red with grey/white cross symbolic for danish flag could be good?
I am open for any colours, have no preferences. Clear blue - sea - ice - heaven like #2 is good suggestion, but brownish colours (like soil) could be good too.
#4: Right side down is clearly your best suggestion. I like and will consider:-)
#3: Better:-) Like best Left side down. But still the cross makes me think of church more than restaurant.
#1: Hi Moana. I like your idea and font for letters. I mis some colour and I get a religious assosiation more than restaurant.
#2: Hi Lotte. Simple, elegant, modern. I like it. Colour and font is fine. Maybe other colour suggestions? I will consider, but await more suggestions.
